PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate cleaning of a trash can and improve the usability thereof. SOLUTION: The trash can 1 comprises a bag holding structure 10 and a cover structure 20. The bag holding structure 10 has a bottom part 11 and a plurality of posts 12 raised in a boundary region of the bottom part 11, and the plurality of posts 12 can hold a trash bag 30 situated on the bottom part 11 so that an opening 31 of the trash bag 30 is at the top thereof. The cover structure 20 can cover the plurality of posts 12 holding the trash bag 30. The cover structure 20 has a trash inlet, which is in communication with the opening 31 of the trash bag 30. The plurality of posts 12 deform within an elastic limit under pressure by inner surfaces 22 of the cover structure 20.
