PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the influence of atmospheric temperature, using time, and dispersion in manufacturing. SOLUTION: In a dust seal to be slid on the circumference of a member subjected to sliding to prevent the intrusion of dust into the member subjected to sliding, this seal comprises a thick base end part 12 and a truncated conical lip 14 raised from the base end part. The thickness dimension (b) and length dimension (a) of the lip are minimized within the range in which the axial rigidity enough to prevent the inward pulling-up by the movement of the member subjected to sliding is ensured. |
