PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dielectric breakdown by peel discharge or leaking spots on the surface layer of a photoreceptor in an electrophotographic device using a reverse development method and a magnetic toner and to prevent excess grinding of the surface layer of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The film thickness Ds [μm] and the intrinsic resistivity Rs [Ω.cm] of the surface protective layer of the photoreceptor in the method for forming an image by a reverse development method are controlled to satisfy the relation of Ds<=-0.1361Ln(Rs)+4.1682 and 1.0×10<9> <=Rs<=1.0×10<13> . The magnetic toner contains at least a binder resin, a wax component and a magnetic material and has 70 to 500 isolated magnetic particles in the magnetic toner with respect to 10,000 toner particles. |
