PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the whole pyrolysis gas can be converted into a combustible gas by overcoming the drawbacks of conventional technique in a method and plant for producing a combustible gas. SOLUTION: The method for producing a combustible gas comprises the steps of: performing the thermal conversion, such as pyrolysis or thermolysis, of a solid feed in the absence of air to form a solid residue and a raw gas, burning the solid residue to form a combustion gas, and cracking the raw gas to form a combustible gas. According to this method, all or part of the combustion gas is supplied and used as a source of the thermal energy for the operation of cracking the raw gas. |
