<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe fitting for a synthetic resin pipe such as of polyvinyl chloride resin pipe assuring simple coupling works for pipes, allowing the fastening force to be in the proper condition at all times, and equipped with a sufficient water stopping performance. SOLUTION: The pipe fitting is composed of a socket 1 in a joint part of any apparatus, a water-tight rubber ring 2 to be fitted in the fit hole 11 of the socket 1, a lock 3 to be attached to the socket 1 by a bolt 14, a lock ring 4 to be fitted in fit hole 33 of the lock 3, and a grip ring to be fitted on the tapered surface 43 of the lock ring 4. The rubber ring 2 is pressed by the lock 3 and compressed. The lock 3 and lock ring 4 are furnished with taper flanges 34 and 41, and when the lock ring 4 is rotated, its fit-in amount increases by the taper effect. The grip ring 5 is in a split ring shape, and if the segment are contracted, the teeth at their inside surfaces bite into the outside surface of the pipe 6.</p> |
