PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity characteristics in a short wavelength region and so excellent in durability that it is free of fatigue or deterioration due to light and to provide an image forming apparatus using the photoreceptor, having high sensitivity and high resolving power and giving stable image quality. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor using a laser whose oscillation wavelength is in the range of 380-500 nm as a light source for exposure, an N,N-bisenamine compound of formula (1) is contained as a charge transfer material in a photosensitive layer on an electrically conductive support. The image forming apparatus using a laser having an oscillation wavelength at 380-500 nm as a light source for exposure is loaded with the electrophotographic photoreceptor.
