PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means by which a medicine for inducting the anagenetic period of a hair is detected precisely and simply from a medicine to be tested. SOLUTION: In the detection method, the skin of a mouse such as preferably a separately bred C3H mouse or the like whose hair cycle is at a resting stage is coated with the medicine to be tested without shaving its hair, the blackening degree of a coated part is used as an index, and the induction effect of the anagenetic period of the hair is detected.
