PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking device easily receiving a target signal and preventing an unnecessary signal from intruding. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an item calculating means 2 calculating a characteristic value and a characteristic vector in directions of distance, elevation angle and azimuth using detection data from an observation means 1 and an observation error covariance matrix from a single sampling delay means 8, a gate deciding means 3 carrying out a one-dimensional gate deciding in a range direction for the detection data, a gate deciding means 4 carrying out the one-dimensional gate deciding in a cross range direction, a gate deciding means 5 outputting a residual covariance matrix attached to the detection data corresponding to candidates of target signals from the gate deciding result, a first data updating means 6 updating the data based on the theorem of Kalman filter, a prediction means 7 calculating a predicted error covariance matrix a single sampling after the current time and a predictive vector, the single sampling delay means 8 delaying them by a single sampling, and a displaying means 9 displaying a target track and a target speed.
