PROBE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING CHOLESTEROL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe having a high affinity to cholesterol and to provide a new method of measuring cholesterol by which cholesterol can be measured easily with high accuracy by utilizing the probe. SOLUTION: The probe used for measuring cholesterol is composed of a cholesterol oxidative enzyme variant which has cholesterol avidity, but is low in lability of oxidization/isomerization, and a reporter substance. In the method of measuring cholesterol, the variation of a detect signal issued from the reporter substance bonded to the probe is measured by causing a reaction between the probe and a specimen.
