PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil film sensor capable of stably sensing an oil film even on a water surface having large draft variation or being choppy in every direction. SOLUTION: This oil film sensor sensing an oil component present on water surface by scanning the water surface with a laser beam and using its reflected light is equipped with a laser beam scanning part having a laser beam source and a mirror varying the radiation direction of the laser beam; a rotating plate to which the laser beam scanning part is fit; a rotating mechanism scanning the laser beam emitted from the laser beam scanning part to the water surface almost vertically under the center of the rotating plate; and a light receiving unit arranged almost vertically under the center of the rotating plate in a state that a light receiving part receiving the laser beam reflected from the water surface is directed to the water surface. The mirror varying the irradiation direction of laser beam in the laser scanning part may be a vibration mirror or a rotary type polyhedron mirror. The scanning frequency of the laser beam may be set in 50 Hz or more, and the number of rotation varying the scanning direction may be set in 60 rpm or more.
