PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid leakage-preventive mechanical sealing device never causing a fluid leakage by the reduction in sealing function by the wear of the contact surface between a ground packing and a sleeve. SOLUTION: This device comprises a sealing chamber consisting of a flange, a seal case and a seal cover, which is formed on the outside of a ground ring for arresting a ground packing mounted on the staffing box of an inside sealing part and an outside sealing part, and a rotating seal ring fixed to a sleeve and a fixed seal ring brought into contact with the sleeve and the rotating seal ring are provided on the inside of the sealing chamber. The fixed seal ring is arrested within a slip ring elastically rebounded by a spring provided between it and the flange, and a seal ring brought into contact with the sleeve is provided on the inside surface of the seal cover.
