PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation foundation of a building and its construction method for securing safety of a building body by absorbing horizontal directional swinging of the ground surface at earthquake time, and requiring little maintenance-control while restraining a construction cost. SOLUTION: This base isolation foundation 1 of the building is provided with a reinforced concrete part 4 driven in the ground surface 2 excavated in a recess shape, and having a horizontal upper surface 9, sliding members 5a and 5b for covering the upper surface 9 of the reinforced concrete part 4, and a raft foundation 6 having a bottom surface 11 smaller than the upper surface 9 of the reinforced concrete part 4, slidably arranged in the horizontal direction on the upper surface 9 by interposing the sliding members 5, and supporting the building body 3. At least a part of the raft foundation 6 is buried in the ground.
