PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit blooming besides being of a high specific gravity and soft ness, and to improve strength, weatherability, and heat-and moisture resistance in a high specific gravity EPDM composition. SOLUTION: In the rubber composition having EPDM as the major component, 30 vol. to 150 vol. at least one kind of metal powders to be selected from a powder of a tungsten compound having a specific gravity of <12 or a molybdenum powder are incorporated into 100 vol. rubber to render the entire specific gravity of the composition 2.5-6.0. Furthermore, the complex elastic modulus in the measurement of the viscoelastic spectrum is preferably rendered <=80 MPa.
