PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a subsidiary material for packing, which is a space filler, to be also reutilized in the same manner as a foldable container, which is a material for packing. SOLUTION: A subsidiary material for packing is used for filling a space between a component and an inner face of a container by inserting it between the component stored in the packing container and the inner face of the container. The subsidiary material consists of a wall sheet 1, one of faces of which abuts against the stored component, and a pressure contact sheet 2, which is provided on the other face lb of the wall sheet 1 and is brought into pressure contact with the opposed inner face of the container. The pressure contact sheet 2 is a rectangularly plane sheet and is formed into a bellows shape in which crest-folded portions 21 a and valley-folded portions 21b are alternately repeated at predetermined intervals in a vertical direction. Further, sliding shafts, each extending outward along folds of the valley-folded portions 21b, are formed at right and left side edges 22c of the valley-folded portions 21b, respectively, and a pair of sliding grooves 11 and 11 extending vertically along right and left side edges of the pressure contact sheet 2, respectively, are formed on the other face 1b of the wall sheet 1. The sliding shafts of the pressure contact sheet 2 are fitted into the sliding grooves 11 in a vertically slidable manner.
