PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of maintenance work while reducing down time by making uniform the consumption of components and mechanisms without sacrifice of productivity in the imaging operation of a first sheet thereby concentrating the timing of replacing the components and prolonging the interval of replacement. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus comprising means for measuring drive data indicative of use frequency of components and mechanisms, and means for storing the drive data, a load selection control means selects a mechanism of fastest imaging operation for imaging a first sheet when an image can be outputted by selecting any one of a plurality of components and mechanisms having the same function, and selects a mechanism having a use frequency lower than that of the drive data stored in the storage means for the second and subsequent sheets. |
