PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can securely detect toner sticking on a heat-sensitive element provided in a heat roller. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with the heat roller 107, a heater 105 which is arranged in the heat roller and heats the heat roller, a thermistor 108 which detects the temperature of the surface of the heat roller, a maximum temperature detection part which starts heating by the heater in a state wherein the inside of the device is cold and detects maximum arrival temperature when the temperature detected by the thermistor reaches target temperature and overshoots, a judgment part which judges whether the temperature detected by the maximum temperature detection part exceeds temperature previously set as a threshold, and an alarm part which generates an alarm when the judgment part judges that the temperature set as the threshold is exceeded. The maximum arrival temperature is monitored to decide toner sticks on the heat- sensitive element. |
