PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein a wide visual field angle can be obtained and the response time of a halftone can be shortened by regulating alignment direction of a liquid crystal using a pre-tilt angle imparting technology using a polymer, wherein a liquid crystal layer containing a polymerizable component is sealed between substrates and the polymerizable component, is polymerized while a voltage is being applied to the liquid crystal layer to stabilize liquid crystal alignment. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal layer 24 containing the polymer regulating the pre-tilt angle of liquid crystal molecules and the inclined direction when the liquid crystal is driven, is sealed between two substrates 20 and 30 disposed opposite to each other.
