摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein a wide visual field angle can be obtained and the response time of a halftone can be shortened by regulating alignment direction of a liquid crystal using a pre-tilt angle imparting technology using a polymer, wherein a liquid crystal layer containing a polymerizable component is sealed between substrates and the polymerizable component, is polymerized while a voltage is being applied to the liquid crystal layer to stabilize liquid crystal alignment. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal layer 24 containing the polymer regulating the pre-tilt angle of liquid crystal molecules and the inclined direction when the liquid crystal is driven, is sealed between two substrates 20 and 30 disposed opposite to each other. A plurality of stripe-shaped electrode patterns 8 wherein the width of a pattern 8 is formed widely more than the width of a space 10 are arranged so that the liquid crystal molecules are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the pattern when the polymerizable component contained in the liquid crystal layer 24 is solidified to form the polymer wile voltage is being applied to the liquid crystal layer 24.</p>
