PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle microwave receiver capable of surely preventing battery shutoff. SOLUTION: This on-vehicle microwave receiver 1 is provided with a signal receiving circuit 3 detecting microwaves, a power supply circuit 5 having a solar battery 50 and a secondary battery 52, a vehicle speed sensor 7 detecting a vehicle speed, and a central control circuit 8. When a central control device 8 turns on a switch 53, the signal receiving circuit 3 is operated and a signal received by an antenna 30 is swept. When sweeping ends, the switch 53 is turned off and a counting of stopping time is started. The stopping time is counted in accordance with the vehicle speed obtained through the vehicle speed sensor. Since the stopping time is set longer, the lower the vehicle speed is, the number of operated time of the signal receiving circuit 3 is fewer when the vehicle is driven at a slow speed or stopped. Accordingly, using the on-vehicle microwave receiver 1 surely prevents the battery death of the secondary battery 52 as the useless operations are eliminated when the vehicle is driven at a slow speed or the like.
