PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption and output by optimization of intake/ exhaust efficiency and a smooth mode of operation from a low speed range to a high speed range or during acceleration or deceleration. SOLUTION: In the valve timing varying device, two camshafts 2a and 2b are arranged on a pair of valves 1a and 1b of at least one of an intake valve or an exhaust valve, cams 3a, 5a, 6a, 4b, 5b and 6b and rocker arms 7a and 7b are arranged per each valve 1a and 1b, and two cam phase angle varying means are provided on the camshafts 2a and 2b.
