PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide amino resin particles capable of giving liquid crystal display spacer with properties having a combination of high ability to inhibit light leakage with high display grade and liquid crystal reliability and liquid crystal display plate action reliability through unconventional new scheme, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide such a liquid crystal display spacer using the same. SOLUTION: The amino resin particles have a refractive index of >=1.6. The method for producing the amino resin particles comprises the following process: an initial condensate capable of giving the amino resin is condensed and cured in the presence of an acid catalyst to obtain particles, which are then further condensed and cured in the presence of an acid catalyst, the resultant particles are heated at >=150 deg.C in an aqueous solution containing a sulfamic acid compound and/or imidazole compound and then isolated from the solution and subsequently heat-treated at >=160 deg.C.
