<p>The wheel carrier is constructed in at least two parts, with one part forming the bearing housing centre(2) and the other part forming the cover(3). The part forming the bearing housing centre consists of an inner ring, ribs(4) and an outer ring. The parts of the wheel carrier are made independently of each other from metal materials such as titanium, steel, or a non-metallic material such as reinforced plastic and especially carbon fibre reinforced plastics or from a metal matrix composite.</p> |
