PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage both stabilization of acceleration performance and reduction of fuel consumption by effectively using an engine and a motor as acceleration power source. SOLUTION: The maximum assist torque by the motor 2 is calculated based on accumulated electricity amount of a battery 9 and it is determined if demanded driving power can be realized without shift down of a transmission 3 or not, when the motor 2 provides the maximum assist in demanded driving power increasing. When it is determined that the demanded driving power can be realized without shift down of the transmission 3, the motor 2 assists the engine 1 to realize the demanded driving power. When it is determined that the demanded driving power can't be realized without shift down of the transmission 3, the transmission 3 is shifted down to realize the demanded driving power. |
