PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity sensor condition determining device which precisely determines the humidity sensor condition including its responsiveness from the detected result of the sensor itself. SOLUTION: This humidity sensor condition determining device is installed in an exhaust system 2 of an internal combustion engine 1 and determines the condition of the humidity sensor 22 to detect a temperature inside the exhaust pipe 4. This device is provided with: an operating condition determining device 25 to determine whether the internal combustion engine is in a prescribed operating condition or not; a changing condition parameter calculation means 25 to calculate the changing condition parameter (VHUMD-VHUMD- REF) showing the changing condition of a detected value VHUMD based on the detected value VHUMD of the humidity sensor 22 detected when the internal combustion engine is in the prescribed operating condition; and a condition determining means 25 to determine the condition of the humidity sensor 22 according to the calculated changing condition.
