PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a current fuel injection valve for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and provided with a movable element connected to a valve needle 3 provided with a valve closing element 4, which forms a seal seat in cooperation with a valve seat 6 formed in the valve seat 5 and which passes through a whirl forming element 34 arranged at the flow-in side end surface 39 of the valve seat 5, at the injection side end of the valve needle 3. SOLUTION: The valve needle 3 and/or the valve closing element 4 is provided with a taper part in the region of the whirl forming element 34, and the taper part 37 reduces an extension degree in the radial direction of the valve needle 3, and the taper part 37 is extended in the axial direction at least between the seal seat and the flow-in side end surface 38 of the whirl forming element 34.
