PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear guide device making it hard for the rolling element rolling groove of a guide rail to be damaged or for the rolling element to be worn and providing an excellent durability. SOLUTION: This linear guide device comprises the guide rail 1 having the axially extending rolling element rolling groove 10 in a side face 1a, a slider 2 having a rolling element rolling groove 11 opposed to the rolling element rolling groove 10 of the guide rail 1 and installed in the guide rail 1 movably relative to each other in the axial direction, and a plurality of rolling elements 3 rollingly installed between both rolling element rolling grooves 10 and 11. The portion of the grooved surface of the rolling element rolling groove 10 of the guide rail 1 and the side face 1a of the guide rail 1 crossing each other is formed in a curved surface 40, and the grooved surface is smoothly continued with the side face 1a. In addition, the averaged surface roughness Ra of an area ranging from a portion coming into contact with the rolling element 3 of the rolling element rolling groove 10 of the guide rail 1 to a boundary portion between the side face 1a and the curved surface 40 of the guide rail 1 on the center line in a direction perpendicular to the rolling element rolling groove is set to 0.1μm or less.
