摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity conditioning building material and its manufacturing method capable of satisfying the compatibility between sufficient strength and humidity conditioning performance. SOLUTION: Humidity conditioning building material is obtained by using a raw material containing active China clay and by burning it at a temperature not lower than 500 deg.C which provides solidified bodies having a humidity conditioning performance, a high strength and an excellent humidity conditioning performance; and the active China clay is used independently or by mixing with other raw materials for ceramics and formed and burned. Its manufacturing method is also provided. Therefore, by adopting active China clay as humidity conditioning material, the burning becomes possible at a temperature higher than that of the conventional humidity conditioning material, and solidified bodies having sufficient strength and humidity conditioning performance can be produced by the burning.
