PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to actuate a polygon motor without rotating a drum and to shorten FCOT (the time from the starting copy to ejection of recorded paper) by rotating the polygon motor in arbitrary timing as to a polygon motor controller which performs motor control with a BD signal. SOLUTION: The motor controller which controls the rotating speed of the polygon motor according to laser light making a scan on the drum, a sensor which detects the laser light, and the output signal of the sensor is equipped with a means of turning on the laser light at a level where no latent image is formed on the drum when the polygon motor is actuated and driving the polygon motor while scanning the drum. |
