PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film which can maintain its thickness thereby enhanced durability within a temperature range from near a melting point of an uncrosslinked polyolefin resin to a higher temperature (preferably a temperature near a decomposition temperature of the resin), to provide a separator for a non-aqueous electrolyte battery composed of the porous film and a non- aqueous electrolyte battery obtained using the separator. SOLUTION: The porous film has a crosslinked structure and contains a polyolefin resin. When thickness change of the film is measured using a thermomechanical analyzer with a penetration probe under a condition of a probe diameter of 1 mmϕ, a load of 70g and a temperature raising speed of 2 deg.C/min from room temperature, the thickness gives a minimum value at a minimum temperature (a flections temperature in case that no minimum temperature is observed) within the temperature range of 100 deg.C to 150 deg.C, increases after that and decreases down to the thickness equal to that at the minimum temperature at a temperature not lower than 250 deg.C. |
