PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an abrasion force of an engine by delaying the flow of cooling water to a cylinder block, and provide an engine cooling system using two thermostats for improving fuel consumption. SOLUTION: This system comprises two pipelines for supplying cooling water supplied from a cooling water pump into a cylinder head and a cylinder block separately; a main thermostat arranged to a cooling water outlet side line of the cylinder head and actuating at a temperature lower than that of an auxiliary thermostat; and an auxiliary thermostat, which is arranged in a cooling water outlet side line of the cylinder block, connected with the cooling water outlet side line of the cylinder head, and supplies a part of the cooling water to the cooling water outlet side line of the cylinder block under the condition that the auxiliary thermostat is closed.
