PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propylene-based block copolymer having good balance between rigidity and impact resistance, high heat resistance and low gloss. SOLUTION: This block copolymer is obtained through the 1st step of producing a propylene polymer component (PP) using a metallocene catalyst and the 2nd step of producing a propylene-ethylene copolymer component (EP). This block copolymer thus obtained meets the following requirements (1) to (6): (1) melt flow rate is 0.1-150 g/10 min, (2) insoluble to 100 deg.C o- dichlorobenzene, soluble to 140 deg.C o-dichlorobenzene, (3) EP content is 5-50 wt.%, (4) the ethylene content of EP is 10-90 wt.%, (5) meeting the relationship (I): G>=E>=-4.5×10<-3>×G<2> +1.3×G-7.0 (G is the ethylene content of EP, and E is the ethylene content of the noncrystalline component of EP), and (6) melting point is >=157 deg.C.
