A novel tube material, and method of forming the tube, are described. The tu be has an inner liner (1), preferably flexible, an intermediate layer of in sit u moulded expanding foam material (2), and a flexible outer line (3). The tube is rigid, with the structural strength derived entirely from the intermediat e layer. The preferred method of construction uses an inner core (4), which is used to hold the inner liner in place during forming. The inner core (4) includes a mechanism to reduce its diameter, to facilitate removal after curing of the foam. |
