PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for decreasing volume and closing bag which decreases the volume of wastes such as garbages, plastics, paper, and the like, puts the wastes in a bag and fuses a neck part of the bag to prevent the wastes from coming out the bag and to make the wastes in the bag portable. SOLUTION: The inside of a rectangular parallelepiped and freely openable closed body 1 is divided vertically into two portions to form a divided box 2 and a cover box 3 and the divided body 2 and the cover box 3 are fixed to each other by hinges 4, 4; a suction means 5 having a suction pipe hung down is installed in an upper part of the divided box 2; a slide groove part 8 is formed by using a spring or the like in the front side of a bottom plate 7 of the divided box 2 for holding a bag 6; and a means 12 for holding the bag 6 is formed in a heater 10 comprising step parts 9, 9 formed in both sides of a heater main body and inserted in the slide groove part 8.
