PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder coating and method capable of improving deposition efficiency to a material to be coated and of giving a coating film excellent in quality. SOLUTION: A corona electrode 5 is applied by boosting a pulse signal S2 of a low voltage generated at a pulse signal generating part 7 to a high voltage at a high voltage boosting part 8, and thereby corona discharge is intermittently generated from the corona electrode 5 toward the material to be coated, and then the powder coating spouted forward from the nozzle opening of a gun body is charged by a negative ion generated by corona discharge, before the powder coating is moved toward the material to be coated and deposited on the surface of the material to be coated.
