PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use brine pressure without causing the failure, vibration, noise, and impact pressure of parts. SOLUTION: An apparatus to feed raw water to a reverse osmotic membrane apparatus 1 comprises a piston 21, a supply valve 22 of brine, an exhaust valve 23, a seawater cylinder part 24, a pump cylinder part 25, a reciprocating pump 2A provided with the above parts, a hydraulic piston 26 connected to the piston 21, high or low pressure hydraulic cylinder parts 27 or 28, a hydraulic cylinder apparatus 2B provided with these parts, two sets of feed water units 2 and 3 consisting of 3A and 3B of the same configuration as 2A and 2B, a hydraulic system 4, flow controllers 5 and 6 having an oil supply interruption time while stabilizing the sum total of an amount of oil supply of 2B and 3B, and an device 7 for controlling these parts, or the like. This configuration secures a stable operation based on the feed of a constant oil amount, reliably switches the opening/closing of the supply valve 22 and the exhaust valve 23 during the stop of the piston 21, prevents vibration, or the like, and effectively use the brine pressure.
