RAKER FOR SEDIMENTATION BASIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent pin-shaped flocks from being generated in a sedimentation basin by using a reciprocating sludge raker. SOLUTION: This raker for the sedimentation basin has a plurality of scrapers which are laid on the bottom surface of the sedimentation basin, each of which has such a cross-sectional shape that the sludge pit side is formed into an almost vertical plane having 20-30 mm height and the top surface of the side opposite to the sludge pit side is formed into a downward inclined plane and which are fit to this raker at prescribed fitting intervals and reciprocated within a distance slightly longer than the scraper fitting interval.
