PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester container which is obtained by stretching/ molding a polyester resin produced without applying hot water treatment for controlling the content of a cyclic trimer component, solid-phase polymerization, etc., and in which mold fouling and deterioration in surface glossiness and transparency are effectively prevented and a method for producing the container. SOLUTION: The polyester container is obtained by stretching/molding the polyester resin without being subjected to the hot water treatment for reducing the content of the cyclic trimer. The amount of the cyclic trimer distributed in the surface of the container measured by extraction with chloroform is at least 450 ng/cm<2> , and the crystallinity of the polyester resin measured by a density method is at least 30%. |
