PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which a heating element need not be pressed into a carrier element, any buckling of the heating elements can be avoided, in particular, a ceramic rod-like heating element can be easily joined with a metal carrier element, and any groove is not formed during the joining operation. SOLUTION: In the method for joining the rod-like heating element with the tubular carrier element, a cylindrical carrier ring (4) is attached on the bar-like heating element (1) by magnetic forming technology, and the tubular carrier element (3) is abutted on the carrier ring (4) and fixed thereto. A glow plug is manufactured by this method. |
