PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the roll of a heat-shrinkable film which has a good shrinkage properties in a wide temperature range from a low temperature to a high temperature, controls the variation of the heat-shrinkage properties in the film roll, and can reduce the occurrence of defectives such as shrinkage whitening in a heat-shrinkage process, shrinkage spots, wrinkles, distortion, and longitudinal sink and a method for producing the roll. SOLUTION: A heat-shrinkable polyester film is wound to form the film roll. The polyester film has a specified composition. The heat-shrinkage rates of test pieces having a prescribed shape of the film which are cut off from a prescribed sampling part are measured in water at 75 deg.C (A), water at 85 deg.C (B), and water at 95 deg.C, respectively. The averages of the heat-shrinkage rates are 30-40% (A), 50-60% (B), and 65-77% (C). The measured value of the heat- shrinkage rate of each test piece is within the range of the average±3%. |
