PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for soft intraocular lens which can reduce the thickness of a soft intraocular lens by means of its superior flexibility and high refractive index and can be inserted into an eye in a folded state from a small formed cut and from which a soft intraocular lens that is excellent in transparency and does not cause glistening can be obtained. SOLUTION: The material for intraocular lens is composed of a polymer obtained by polymerizing a polymeric constituent containing a hydrophilic monomer and has a coefficient of water absorption of 1.5-4.5 wt.%. |
