PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can treat a high concentration solution in combination with a multistage separation membrane module, and an absorption refrigerator which separates a refrigerant and an absorbent by using this separating device and cools and heats a target medium only by using the heat source of an ambient temperature. SOLUTION: Pouring the high concentration solution having a small density difference on both sides of a reverse osmotic membrane produces the movement of a solvent from a high pressure solution to a low pressure solution, and reduces the concentration of the low pressure solution. The high concentration solution can be treated by continuously carrying out this operation. In the absorption refrigerator, the refrigerant and the absorbent can be separated without using the high temperature heat source by using this separating device, and the refrigerator can be made small because a regenerator and a condenser are unnecessary. The separated refrigerant liquid is evacuated by an expansion valve, becomes vapor by an evaporator and is returned to an absorber. The absorbent returned to the absorber through a reducing valve absorbs the refrigerant vapor. In cooling, the target medium is cooled by the evaporator, and in heating, the target medium is heated by the absorber.
