PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital height meter compact, lightweight, low in cost and used also at ordinary homes. SOLUTION: This digital height meter is provided with a level sensor 3 for detecting the levelness of an installed state, a distance measuring sensor 4 for measuring a space to a floor face 13, and a display 5 for displaying the space to the floor face 13 measured by the distance measuring sensor 4. The digital height meter is placed on the head of a subject 60 to detect the levelness by the level sensor 3. In this state, the space to the floor face 13 is measured by the distance measuring sensor 4, and the measured value of the height of the subject 60 is displayed on the display 5.
