PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon capable of being reduced in wall thickness while holding sufficient pressure-resistant strength and having flexibility facilitating the insertion into a bent constricted region, and a balloon catheter. SOLUTION: The medical balloon is manufactured by biaxial stretching blow molding including a process performing axial stretching while keeping the temperatures of both ends of a mold higher than the temperature of the central part of the mold, and the film thickness (t) of the taper part of the balloon satisfies the formula I. The balloon catheter is constituted using the balloon.
