PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter capable of changing a tilted posture of a planted seedling in the front and rear which are the forward direction of the seedling transplanter according to the species of the seedling. SOLUTION: This seedling transplanter is equipped with a pair of seedling planting and nipping tools 4a1 and 4a2 for performing planting operation to nip a part of a seedling in a seedling housing part 26 of a seedling transporting part 3 from the rear end side of the seedling transporting part 3 near a field, plant the seedling in the field and then release the nipping of the seedling in the field and an operating mechanism for the pair of seedling planting and nipping tools 4a1 and 4a2 capable of carrying out the operation of the pair of seedling planting and nipping tools 4a1 and 4a2 interlockingly with a power transmitting mechanism. The operating mechanism for the seedling planting and nipping tools 4a1 and 4a2 is capable of changing timing of opening the pair of seedling planting and nipping tools 4a1 and 4a2 by positions for mounting protrusions 54c1 and 54c2 of a plurality of kinds of cams 54 on a disk 54a according to the species of the seedling.
