PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating the film of a metal material which can easily and simply perform surface treating in a short time by eliminating a cavity filling step and an undercoating step which have been heretofore conducted. SOLUTION: The method for coating the film of the metal material comprises the steps of preparing a thermoplastic film 1 coated on one surface with a solid adhesive 5 and having layer including a pencil hardness of H or more, a weather resistance and a crystal melting point of 160 to 380 deg.C or a Vicat softening temperature of 160 to 380 deg.C, placing the film 1 on the metal material W so that the solid adhesive 5 side of the film 1 becomes the front surface side of the material W, applying a pressing temperature of 160 to 380 deg.C by the mold to hot press the material. |
