PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover belt to be surely held in a rail groove. SOLUTION: A device of the cover belt device 3 for a linear guide is provided for closing a mounting bolt hole 2 of a guide rail 1. The cover belt 3 is inserted into a longitudinal groove 4 of the guide rail 1. The guide rail 1 has an outside surface placed on a plane of a strip surface 9 of the guide rail 1 and has two fixture holding strips extending to the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 1. The strips abutting on a side groove wall defining the longitudinal groove 4 of the guide rail 1 are arranged in the longitudinal groove 4. The cover belt 3 consists of an outer layer 5 working as a surface layer and an inner layer 6 working as a deformation layer. The inner layer 6 contains the holding strips and is fixed abutting on the outer layer at the other side. The outer layer 5 and the inner layer 6 of the cover belt 3 are made of two different materials both of which are mechanically and undetachably joined by using cold roll cladding technology. |
