PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To part a lawn-planted region C from an asphalt-paved region F by a plate 10 so that the roots N of lawns S may not intrude from the region C to the region F. SOLUTION: This parting material 1 for parting the lawn has two or more long metallic plates 10 and 10 and joint means 21 and 22. The joint means 21 and 22 are formed at the joining edge 14 sides of the plates 10, and constituted of inserted parts 21 for joint, opened in the upper and lower sides, and having inner walls 21a in the upper and lower direction at the right and left sides, and inserting parts 22 for the joint, integrally formed at the lower parts of the upper part joints 23, and having pairs of leg parts 24 and 24 to be inserted into the inserted parts 21 for the joint in both of the neighboring plates 10 and 10. The edge part 24a in the upper and lower direction at one side of the pair of the leg parts 24 and 24 and at the other leg part 24 side has a tilted edge part 24b tilted so as to approach the leg part 24 side at the other side according to the movement in the upward direction.
