PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for roll-forming by which a long wire rod is continuously roll-formed by transporting it automatically while roll-forming it. SOLUTION: The method for roll-forming comprises: a loading step for rotatably supporting the metal wire rod by work support blades located between first rolled dies 62 and second rolled dies 72 having a round cross section, respectively in which projected line parts for serration processing inclined to a rotation axis is formed over the whole area on respective outer circumferential surfaces; a step for inclining the first rolled dies 62 forward and the second rolled dies 72 backward and horizontalizing respective projected line parts for serration processing; a step for tightly pressing the wire rod located between the first and second rolled dies by transporting the second rolled dies in the direction of the first rolled dies; and a processing and transfer step for forming serration on the surface of the wire rod while rotating the wire rod by rotating the first and second rolled dies in the same direction, and for continuously processing the wire rod by transporting it in an axial direction.
