ELECTRODE TIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrode tips which are easily built in the shank part on the side of a welding robot even when the tips are of an eccentric type. SOLUTION: The electrode tips 10 are provided with a cylindrical base part 11 and a tapered end part 18 which is arranged at the end of the base part. An assembly hole 12 is provided on the end side face of the base part so that the shank part 5 or 6 of the arm end of the welding robot is engaged. A pressurizing face for welding 19 is formed on the tip end face of the tip end part and the pressurizing face for welding is arranged at a position which is dislocated from the axis O of the base part. A reference face 14 (flat plane 15 or 16) is formed on the outer peripheral face of the base part 11 in a bent form from a surrounding general circular-arcuate outer peripheral face 13 so that the location of pressurizing face for welding 19 is set constant with respect to the axis O of the base part.
