PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of an odor when an openable cover of a garbage disposer is opened. SOLUTION: In the garbage disposer provided with the garbage treatment part that treats the garbage and the exhausting part that exhausts the odor generated in the garbage treatment part, the garbage treatment part is provided with the garbage treatment tank, the openable cover for opening and closing a garbage charge port and the opening detecting means that detects the opening of the openable cover, on the other hand, the exhausting part is provided with a suction fun that sucks the odor and a control means that controls the suction fan. The opening detecting means is connected with the input side of the control means and the suction fan is connected with the output side of the control means through a rotation speed control means.
