PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation reactor capable of accelerating oxidation reaction by the optimum magnetic force corresponding to load without making the reactor large-sized. SOLUTION: An oxidation catalyst part 2 is provided to the wall surface of a gas passage 1 through which reaction gas containing oxygen passes and an electromagnet 3 is arranged in the vicinity of the oxidation catalyst part 2. The outside of the electromagnet 3 is covered with a housing 4. A magnetic field is generated by passing a current through the electromagnet 3 and magnetic force is generated in the vicinity of the oxidation catalyst part 2 in a radial direction. Paramagnetic oxygen large in susceptibility is attracted to the oxidation catalyst part 2 to accelerate oxidation reaction.
